Audience Analyser
Start by defining what a good audience means for this client, such as leads, purchases or revenue. The analyser then compares audience groups across the connected platforms.
Client-defined success
The measure of a good audience is chosen per client, not assumed.
Product audiences
For ecommerce, see which customer groups buy each product range, from Google Analytics purchases.
Aggregate only
Demographics come from platform aggregates. Insights never infers who an individual clicker was.
Human-led
Audience patterns suggest tests. Analysts design and run those tests; they do not hand targeting to an algorithm and walk away.
How we use it on client work
The steps our team follows, from data to decision.
- 1
Pick the client and period
We choose the date range and a comparison period, such as the previous month or the same time last year.
- 2
Break the results down
Figures are split by campaign, device, location, audience or other views the platform supports, to find where results changed.
- 3
Recalculate rates properly
Rates such as cost per lead or return on ad spend are worked out from the underlying totals, so summaries and tables agree.
- 4
An analyst checks, a person decides
Findings are checked against the source platform by a Net Age analyst. Any change to a campaign or website is made by our team by hand. Insights itself never edits accounts.
Questions it helps us answer
- Where is the budget going, and what is it returning?
- Which devices, locations, audiences or campaigns changed the most?
- Is this month better or worse than last month, or last year?
- Do the summary figures agree with the detailed tables?
What it means for clients
Problems found sooner
Breaking results down by view helps us spot the part of an account that changed, instead of guessing.
Fair comparisons
Rates are worked out from the underlying totals, so averages are not distorted by small campaigns.
Clear monthly reviews
The same views are used each month, so progress can be compared like for like.
Common questions
Which platforms are covered?
Each analyser page lists the platform it reads. Coverage depends on which accounts are connected for your business.
Can I sign up and use this myself?
No. GoGee Insights is a private beta used by the Net Age team on client work. Access is through becoming a Net Age client or an approved beta enquiry.
Does it make changes to my accounts?
No. Insights reads data. Any change to a campaign or website is made by a Net Age team member by hand, after review.
